Title: Easiest way to search all of Craigslist
Post by: HighTechRedneck on February 17, 2009, 05:29:30 PM
I felt that the following information provided by zubzub was worth collecting here in the board help section where it won't disappear into the masses of threads.

Instead of using crazed list search thing or other large search engines for craigslist just google craigslist.org and the google page should have the first listing with a small window for searching all of craigslist.  Speeds thing up.

Or just click this link:

http://www.google.com/search?&q=craigslist.org

I just tried this Google Craigslist search tip, and yup, it's quick & fast.

but -

Out of the 25 listings it came up with on my particular search, 10 were expired, and 5 had been pulled by the author.

OTOH, using crazedlist.org, everything that came up was current.

Still, Zub's Google tip is a good one, thanks for sharing!

FWIW & HTH. . .

Good point, but you can't use Internet Explorer to access crazedlist.org.  But if you do have Firefox, Crazedlist.org also makes it easy to select the states to look in.

I discovered this a few months ago and forgot! This site mash will show everything on eBay, craiglist and others all at one time. Just type in a word in RV and GO.

The google thing is pretty good if you are just looking randomly. The problem is that you can't get things in order starting closest to you. For that I use http://www.searchtempest.com (http://www.searchtempest.com). It searches Craigslist, eBay, Kijiji, and other classifieds and lists things starting closest to your zip code.
