Well the rubber hindge broke on me today. It appears the rubber hindge is rivited in. I have seen some would change these to a piano type hindge. What's the thoughts of the group?
As always - thanks
Danny
Don't know why it is rivited. Suposed to have a screw at one end or both to keep from sliding in the track.. Drill those rivets out and you should be able to slide hinge rubber in with a little lube. You can get rubber hinge fron International Bus Parts, Apopka, FL or Mowhawk, Ind. Fairley easy to replace. Charlie
Thanks Beatenbo ;)
I got mine from Luke as US Coach
We have an MC-9
After the rubber hinge cracked I keep 2 lengths of it on hand always.
The first time it broke we were in AZ and Luke shipped us a roll of it.
It's EZ to install about 1 hour..
Much eazier than intalling a stainless hinge.

Rich at IBP has the good stuff, rich@1800intlbus.com. Rich has the good stuff.
I received some extra hinge rubber with my 4104 when I bought it and one lasted 7 mo, the other just fell off yeaterday after 11 mo, so it pays to get good rubber.
7mo/11mo? Mine just broke and it has been on there for 6 years that I know of. I hope Luke is selling the good stuff.
jjr,
Reread my last post. I edited it to make it more accurate. The rubber that lasted 7 and 11 mo was NOT from Rich.
I have had no problems with the rubber from Rich which I used on my other doors at the same time as the old rubber.
I have no idea of the age of the rubber that came with the bus. I used it before I read on the forum about some if being no good, then I ordered the good stuff from Rich.
