It looks like it is going again in in Pa and NC. The webb site looks good BUT Busparts.com and who is George Dausch he emailed me back Thanks Jerry
Jerry,
Yes he is going Pa. And No, I will not start on our story, since I don't want to badmouth anybody contrary to the rules of this BB. I will however PM anybody who is seriously looking at getting work done at his place. Simply because I wouldn't want anybody else to get burned by him.
God bless,
John
Listen to John....he gave me alot of vital information. PM him if you have any questions.
Ilya,
Hey, great to hear from you. Make a new thread and give us an update and post some pics. I wasn't sure if you had left yet.
God bless,
John
I am looking for the maker of a MCI A to G nose Cap that I saw in DC and there is a picture of one on this site.
now can someone please explain to me how this thread is not an attack on Sam Walker and his business. Seems pretty clear to my by John316's first post.
I do not know Sam Walker or anything about his business...but this is clearly one individual laying it out there and is detrimental to his business
Do a Sam Walker search and you will figure it out on your own
There can be a fine line between bad mouthing and providing important information!! I do not see where John has crossed that line. It is often recommended on this board to check with the local BBB befor doing business with anyone not recommended here. Jim
Yup Jim. Clearly I haven't badmouthed Sam Walker publicly here. (I sure could though.)
I think that even if I stated my facts, then it still wouldn't be badmouthing him, just stating facts. But still I won't do it publicly. And I won't share it with anybody that isn't serious about using him.
I sure want to warn people, though, before they use Sam Walker.
Gmpd4104, I would sure hate to see you, or any other bus nut, get burned. I don't think that warning others about danger is badmouthing.
Moderators, if you see a need to edit my post, go ahead. No apology necessary. Edit away ;D ;D ;D.
God bless,
John
Okay, here is one link. Again, this is not my story (we didn't get burned like this guy did, so rest easy ;D ;D ;D). http://www.grigsby.us/walkercoach/story.htm (http://www.grigsby.us/walkercoach/story.htm) Make sure you read, or at least skim, until the very end.
Again, moderators if you have a problem with this...Edit away ;D ;D ;D.

John
Sorry guys. I just tried clicking the link that I had saved (I should have done it before) it looks like the story disappeared.
If you guys needed more validation try going to http://www.Grigsby.us (http://www.grigsby.us) and then contacting the guy from there. I think that he was told to remove the story from his site, or he just decided it was time to move on. My story is pale in comparison to this guys story.

Well, for those who are new here and might prefer to voice opinions rather than listen to advice, maybe I can clarify.
You are correct in that character attacks are not allowed on the board. However, facts are allowed, so let's just post the facts.
Sam Walker was convicted of fraud in PA for defrauding several individuals out of hundreds of thousands of dollars relating to bus conversion work that he promised,
accepted payment for, and never delivered.
I'm not aware of any individual on this or any other bus board who will recommend him.
And so you are now up to speed on the facts. If the facts are detrimental to his business, so be it.
Gumpy: Well put. M
If you recall - His last "business" wasn't even a business - no license, etc. - might want to check and see IF he has one this time - FWIW
John - I thought you were amazingly tactful - I on the other hand would call him what he is (not tactful) - FWIW
Thanks Craig
I am new here and thought this thread was some sort of attack. In my mind if someone is convicted for a crime and is now back in business people should know before they get duped. If this business is now on the up and up then they will have to prove themselves. Buyer beware.
John
The following are facts (no opinion) to warn others what did happen with some of his customer's deposit and left unfinished & undriveable to rust. They end up being scrap few years later.
I came to Arcadia in Dec 1999 to live and work on my bus at another bus nut's place. While there I learn and seen several of his customer's unfinished bus frames outside to rust for the few years of shop close. BTW...While there I did learn how MCI are build and glad I did...so I know how to re-framed my bus.
Desoto County Florida Clerk of the Circuit Court (http://www.desotoclerk.com/dpa/cvweb1.asp?ulname=walker&ufname=sam&ucasetype2=&ucase=&ucit=&ufromdate=&utodate=&ucasetype=)
Somehow he manage to start a business in PA.
So be careful.

QuoteI do not know Sam Walker or anything about his business...but this is clearly one individual laying it out there and is detrimental to his business
If I was new and didn't know the history I would be inclined to have the same perception. But, this is why those that have been around for a while have a responsibility to help others not fall into traps and snares that would wipe out dreams and life savings. It is a business, and one that has earned it's reputation. Given the facts, the most I would do is only pay incrementally, as the conversion progresses and meets my satisfaction. But I am not that desperate.
Professor Grumpy did a good job of educating us on the history, and reminding us of what happend. Everyone take good notes and don't fail the test.
I am grateful to have so many here on this BBS to warn us of the many dangers......Thanks Guys
BarnOwl,
You have a great personal "filosofy". Thank you for that and know others share it.
GumpyDog,
Yeah GumpyDog!!!! yeah.
Thanks,
John
I do not know this individual, but have read past posts regarding him. However, I do not view passing on information and facts about a business to be "badmouthing". It seems like it would be kind of ridiculous for one of us to be victimized by a mechanic in Wherever, Montana and not be able to pass on the facts to save others from the same fate. There are plenty of businesses that receive nothing but the highest praise on this board. Certainly, reasonable criticism is also of value.
There is a difference between simply posting a negative opinion of someone and posting negative facts that can be supported by legal documents. Most of us know of several people that were taken for thousands of dollars by Sam Walker, with court documents to back up the facts. This is entirely different than simply saying "so & so is a crook" with no facts to support that statement. I hope no other people are taken by any bus converter as this gives us all a bad name. Jack
So and so is a crook. (phhhhhhhhttttttttt lol, I hate myself but couldn't resist lol)
There was a Bus Converter here in Liberty Texas. He declaimed Bankrupt and it was hell for the people who had buses in his shop. He wouldn't let them move them. He put a 8kw Gen set in an Eagle and charged the guy $20,000.00.
Buyer beware.
John
If people ask me what I think about a business of any type then I will tell them but I do not volunteer much information about others business some folks are happy with their choice and some are not.I do not know anything about Mr.Walker but reading about bus conversions on the web the person that owns this board has had his share of problems over the years and turned it around so it seems, why not give this Walker a chance people can change ?
David
VanTare,
You are right. Some can change. Sam Walker hasn't yet (unless it was a new years resolution ;D :D ;D). I would just hate to see one of my bus nut buddies scammed.
God bless,
John
I guess I agree, that people deserve the chance to change, but if a person proves themselves to be slightly to the side of honest, get caught and then move to a different area and run a scam again and then move again and again the scam runs, it might be a pattern.
OK, I'm sure I'll get trashed for this but I can't read this thread without giving mu side of the story.
I had started a conversion of a Neoplan double decker. It was taking too long, my fault, and when I was done it was not going to have the flexibility I felt I could get from a HDT and a big FW. So I decided to sell a pile of parts and the bus. I did ads on BNO and eBay and sold quite a few things, but it got hard to get rid of a rebuilt Series 60, rebuilt Allison B500 and the rest of the chassis since so many here are frugal. On a chance I called Sam and offered it to him. He bought the entire package and paid in full. He also paid the local trucker that I had arranged to ship it to him and treated him well at his shop in PA. I acknowledge selling is different than buying, but he was straight, he paid, his checks didn't bounce and he communicated well. And that was while the stock market, housing and other crap has been sprialing down. From my perspective he has my positive vote. I agree that like with all purchases there is a lot to explore and I have been burned by not looking closely at what seemed like a good deal or something better than expected. Also remember that things can happen and people can change.
And to those of you posting negative comments; (and I read them all about Sam a few years ago), have you personally dealt with him to throw the first stone, or is it hearsay?
SW currently resides with the PA Dept. of Corrections in Camp Hill, PA & has been there since November.
Neo/Russ,
Yes we have personally dealt with him. And we have validated a lot of the stories.
MCI2001,
That is interesting. I didn't know that. I feel bad for him, but he couldn't go on forever. Thanks for letting us know. BTW welcome aboard. You should start a new thread and tell us about yourself.
God bless,
John
Ok, then he has convictions in 3 states then, to me, that would indicate a pattern.
They could send almost all of the converters to jail for taking money and dragging out the process.I have a late model conversion and was told by the converter about the great service awaiting me and how long they were to be around and now 4 months later they sold or gave the business to someone else you never know in today's world.I take people for what they are in my eyes and I never pass judgement on anyone that that is way I was taught and is the way our Creator teaches us to do .Not knowing anything about Walker I will leave this topic alone.
David
Cody,
I agree, I think that this is a bit of a pattern. He will just get out and start again.
God bless,
John
Yes, everyone deserves a second chance. I hear the Bernard Madoff is starting up a new investment company. How many here are willing to invest? We should not hold past issues against him, should we? Isn't that 70 billion dollar scam just old news? Even mentioning it seems to be unfair!
Personally, I feel that if one believes a disreputable business deserves another try, they should try it with their own money and not suggest that someone else should take the risk. Sam Walker, Bernard Madoff-- it does not matter. I would not want to hand money to either of them, and I would warn others to do their research before they did. Reputation is history, and history is a valid tool in predicting the future. No one here would doubt that they would be treated properly by US Coach because that's what has happened over and over again in the past. We would not ever suggest that their history does not predict their future performance. The same goes for those with less stellar reputations.
If I am stranded somewhere and mention the name of a mechanic I may use, you guys darn well better speak up if he's a thief or incompetent! I would certainly do no less for you.
Excellent analogy Lin.
Like it or not, it's just a part of life, we are all haunted by our past decisions, good or bad, regardless of who we are now.
Right on Lin.
God bless,
John

Right you are. Looks like Sam Walker ran the appeals process out and finally started serving the prison sentence on 11/03/08. 6-12 months plus 2 years probation. On the bright side, he did manage to pay restitution to the parties named in the case (the sentences were reduced because of that).

I don't know much about anything else, but ya gotta love the production number of the Scenicruiser in the second website. No. 9003?. That's kind of tough when there were only 1001 manufactured. It looks like he spent so much time creating websites I don't know when he would have had the time to build conversions.
Charles could that be the Greyhound number the picture is showing 141 as the number
David
That could possibly be the fleet number, though it should be accompanied by a letter prefix, but those are still some impressive websites.

Good day Fellow Busnuts,
Since the question was posed in the first email of this thread, I am going to take this opportunity to answer it. My name is George P. Dausch IV, and I am the owner of Next Level Coach, Inc., a Maryland corporation registered to do business in the State of Pennsylvania.
I purchased the furnishings, fixtures, assets, and intangibles of Walker Coach through a private sale of the Federal Bankruptcy Court when the company was placed into Chapter 7. I also made restitution to the clients deemed harmed in the criminal case, as Mr. Walker is as close to penniless and homeless as possible. Since that time, I have also acquired the real estate that Mr. Walker owned and used to operate his company. Since my acquisition of the company, I have overseen the completion of the work-in-process that was tied up in the court process, and as of today we are a few weeks away from finishing one coach, and have one more to go.
It is not my intent to debate or discuss Sam's issues, the court has rendered its decision, and Sam is serving his time. When he returns I will employ him in a sales and advisory capacity, as he knows more about MCI buses than I will ever know.
Next Level Coach employs 10 people full time, and at the moment we have about 30 coaches in stock, mostly MCI9s. They range from running people movers through raised roof and lengthened shells, some with drivetrains, some without. They are taking up space, so one way or another they will be leaving soon.
Looking down the road, it is my hope to continue the business, albeit operated in a much different manner. One cannot continue in business forever losing money on every sale and hoping to make it up on volume.
Thank you for this opportunity to answer the original poster's question.
GPD4
you know what's weird about this is that the resto work on the sceni looks pretty thorough. Who's to say if it's Sam Walker's boys/garage whatever, but someone is doing quite the number on that scenicruiser.
I'm finding some interesting information on Next Level Coach, there doesn't appear to be an actual transfer of ownership, only a managerial transfer, I also turned up a copywrite infringement action initiated by Next Level Coach against the sam walker version of Next Level Coach http://www.nextlevelcoach.org/ I'd be interested in how this is all possible. I can also find no bankruptsy proceedings that include the registered sale of the company to Mr. Dausch, there are several companies that have a George P Dausch IV listed as company president but none of them know about the walker company having been aquired. Of the 2 companies I called neither had heard of the company http://www.natureslightingdistribution.com/ContactUs.htm http://www.durablesteel.com/Key_Personnel.htm I wish any new company management of any company success but am registering my caution in this concern as it appears to be somewhat strange, is it possible that sam walker has set up a proxy while he is in prison?
And good afternoon again,
With respect to the last post and the information contained within it, Next Level Coach, Inc. may be found within the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation website as a Maryland corporation formed by me in June of 1997. Feel free to look. I know nothing about any infringement issue, but I suppose if one is forthcoming I will be notified. However, two different businesses in two unrelated fields does not create a conflict.
The Bankruptcy issue was in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Case # 06-20179-REF. Since I possess all of the documents, I have not looked it up on the web. However, I am sure that it is there.
The two other websites that you referenced are both companies owned by me. We close at 4pm EST and everyone in the offices has gone home. I, however, am still sitting here working and no phone has rung with an inquiry. You may certainly feel free to call and if I am here I will answer the phone. On Mondays and Tuesdays I am in PA at the Coach company, and I will be happy to verify my existence at that location also.
GPD4
If it's all above board then I wish you luck and every success but you have to understand that many people will be somewhat hesitant to take on face value the transfer, especially when the information is still the same which includes the disclaimer from Port Royal Investments, the past owner had found many interesting ways to skirt the legalities in many jurisdictions so you may find a few people that will be hesitant to jump on board and more than a few that will wonder if this is just another example of the past, but like I said, if this is a new start, welcome to the bus community, you'll have to understand that my law enforcement background sometimes clouds my initial reactions.
Perhaps you can double check that docket number, perhaps the court district is wrong? That case doesn't seem to exist. In regards to the possible copywrite infringement item, it's true that the two companies would be in different fields but the names are identical and I'm sure would cause confusion. Anyone that is familier with Mr. Walkers past operations have seen this scenario before, could be true? maybe, maybe not. I'm wondering if Ford Motor Company would feel it's ok for a company that bakes brownies to name themselves Ford Motor Company, would be a different field but I'm certain it would cause a bump in the road somewhere lol, or would be a half baked idea? (sorry that was bad, even for me lolo)
Good morning,
I did check the case number and it is correct. It is not the district court but the Federal Bankruptcy court. Enough time spent on line will get you a reference or two for the Chapter 11 filing that was a precursor to the involuntary Chapter 7 conversion, but it appears that to actually access the case information requires the use of PACER, a paid service used primarily by attorneys but available to anyone. If you want to spend the money to read about it, I guess it is public just not free. For your information, the trustee was Lynn E. Feldman who is in the midst of a high profile case in PA at the moment, but will certainly remember me and the Walker case. It had its interesting moments.
GPD4
United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Case # 06-20179-REF
,,,,, is this the case your referencing? if so it's the same nonexistant case I referenced. And to the best of my knowledge this is federal court unless you have a smooth explaination for that too. Tell Mr Walker, his company is being well managed, unfortunately, you'll need to be much more convincing that that, you site information that can be checked and has been checked but doesn't stand up to examination. If anyone wishes a phone call to the clerk will verify the existance of the court case or not, it's much easier and quicker, incidentally, the court information is public information and there is no charge for it.
I use pacer, and as long as you don't go over $10 a year you don't have to pay. I have never had to pay because it takes the average Joe a long time to reach $10.
Link: Pacer (http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/)
"How much does PACER cost?
The United States Congress has given the Judicial Conference of the United States, the judicial governing body of the U.S. Federal Courts, authority to impose user fees for electronic access to case information. For a history of the electronic public access fee and a current electronic public access fee schedule, click here. All registered agencies or individuals will be charged a user fee. Access to web based PACER systems will generate an $.08 per page charge. The per page charge applies to the number of pages that results from any search, including a search that yields no matches (one page for no matches.) The charge applies whether or not pages are printed, viewed, or downloaded. You will be billed on a quarterly basis for your transactions. You will be allowed to enter a client code of your choosing each time you login to PACER to help facilitate managing the costs.
A measure was approved by the Judicial Conference of the United States in March 2001 stating that no fee is owed until a user accrues more than $10 worth of charges in a calendar year. Consequently, if an account does not accrue $10 worth of usage between January 1st and December 31st each year, all balances will be deleted from our records. This policy change will be effective for the calendar year of 2001, and statements will not be mailed to PACER users whose accounts do not have a balance due of at least $10. Once the balance due exceeds $10, a user will receive a statement by mail which includes the current and previous charges in a calendar year. Please read the announcement detailing this change."
Barn owl, the clerk will also copy and forward any existing pages for a fee also, but the information is available free to the public unless there is a photocopy request, the electronic copying is viewed the same as a request for photocopy.
If indeed this is a fresh start then thats commendable, it'll surely be an uphill battle to overcome the past behavior of Mr. Walker. So far I see very little other than ploys that have been employed by him in the past, kinda like an old oil drum, but with a new coat of paint, looks great but still the same old oil drum. Another statement that I found interesting was the comment that ALL damaged listed customers had been made whole, I haven't found any yet that were listed under the suits that have recieved any compensation for their losses, we have several on this board that have been hurt by Mr. Walkers past behavior, it would be more reasuring is they spoke up and verified that the new "owner" has, in fact, paid the past debts. Incidentally, you list Mr. Walker as being homeless, that is not correct as his housing has been assured for a while at least. lol
Very interesting, I never went that far with Pacer because I've always had an attorney doing it for me anyway. I don't need it for this case, but I'll certainly use it in the future. And while I don't have a complete transcript of the case, if anyone would like to see what I have send me an address and I'll send you copies. As I said at the beginning, it is public information anyway.
I'm not sure what I have cited that does not stand up, as you put it. In order to preclude just that insinuation, I have provided enough for you to do your own research. If anyone wants to talk to me, pick up the phone and call. Otherwise continue your research, because I have zero to hide and I'm the one that chose to answer this thread anyway.
GPD4
And again,
I did not say "all damaged listed customers". I said "clients deemed harmed in the criminal case", which was just over $220,000. Then I said that I completed (or am about to complete) the coaches that were in process when the Chapter 7 involuntary conversion took place, as opposed to taking these coaches that were almost completed and not finishing them or giving the clients credit for the work already completed.
GPD4
Might add...whatever you do...GPD4...make sure you are protected from old Walker's customers who are seeking for refunds. I have seen many of his customer projects left unfinished to rust and left the financially hurting bus conversion's owners while his business was in Arcadia, Florida area. This was before Walker start new business in PA area.
All in all I hope Sam realizes that he learned his mistake from all of this and so to moves on to a better future.
Sojourn for Christ, Gerald
BTW...I too learned from my mistake but thrive to correct it and moved on.
I wonder what Sam did with the three quarters of a million that he said he took out as a loan against the building?
GPD4, I wish you well as you take over this establishment. I hope that you are going to be able to make a go of this, after what Sam did. You certainly have a big enough building for whatever you want to do. BTW, did Sam ever raise the roof in the part that is farthest from the water tower?
God bless,

Mr. Dausch,
So far, I have avoided weighing in on this discussion, because I have said at one time or another all I really need to say about Sam Walker. And all of that is available in the archives, here and on the other board.
Since you've made these statements, though, I need to chime in.
If, in fact, you are also the owner of the following web site:
http://www.walkercustomer.com/Next_Level_Coachs.htm (http://www.walkercustomer.com/Next_Level_Coachs.htm)
then I need to point out that you are either up to the same old tricks, or you've inherited them.
Quite some time ago I was consulted by the Pennsylvania State Police, as part of their investigation, regarding misrepresentation by Mr. Walker of his coach inventory, specifically Neoplans. The contact was initiated by them because I am something of an expert on Neoplan coaches in the US, and I had made previous statements in public questioning Mr. Walker's motives and integrity in placing photographs on his web site of stock that was actually not his, but rather was in the yard at Neoplan's Honey Brook facility. Web site text and placement strongly suggested that these coaches were in the Walker inventory and available, if not actually a work product of Walker Coach.
Now I see on the web site above, in addition to several coaches that I strongly suspect are not part of the Walker inventory, pictures of a coach that has been for sale for several years at Music City RV in Nashville. This coach is not, and never has been, a Neoplan, but Music City has been advertising it as such, in spite of my strong advice to the contrary. These would be the leftmost two photos in the second row, as well as the four photos underneath the text "Neoplan, Spaceliner Custom LCD Dash." (The last photo in that batch is one of Mr. George Strait's Neoplan shortly after its conversion, also
not done by Walker and
never in Walker's inventory.)
This coach is most likely a Drögmöller (possibly a Super Comet), although it's impossible to know for sure. In any case,
- It was not converted by Walker coach, or Next Level. It was converted by Pegasus.
- It is not and never has been in the Walker or Next Level inventory.
- The custom LCD dash is not something that Walker created or even knows anything about.
This is just another example of the exact behavior I testified about years ago: Walker, or his minions (or his successors?) surfing around the internet, finding pictures of coaches that look swoopy and can enhance the firm's business, and then plagiarizing them by putting them on his/your own web site. The strong implication on the web site is that this coach is a Walker/Next Level creation -- the text immediately above the "Neoplan, Spaceliner Custom LCD Dash" reads "Other models In service now.... " Implying "these coaches have already left our shop and are now on the road."
I will accept the explanation that either your firm does not own and operate the above-mentioned web site (in which case I wonder how Mr. Walker, whom you claim is penniless, could still be funding it), or that the current content of the web site is merely left over from the previous administration, and you simply have not yet gotten to cleaning it up. If the latter, please, do so soon, otherwise:
- you will have little or no credibility on this board, and
- I will likely soon be having a very familiar conversation with law enforcement, if not in Pennsylvania, then in Maryland
You've purchased a business with a bad reputation -- you need to do extra duty to reverse that.
Oh, and welcome to the board.

Mr. Dausch, as Sean pointed out, you have a seriously uphill battle ahead of you rebuilding that company. I don't understand what your motivation was to buy a company with such a soiled reputation. But if it meant that even a few of the victims got compensated, then I am glad.
If you are serious about moving forward with the endeavor and doing honest business, I would suggest that it would be in your best interest to change the business name and replace the web site(s). There really is no equity in the brand. Not only is the brand image soiled, but as Sean pointed out, the site was part of the deception that ruined the company's reputation and caused legal trouble.
Good afternoon,
In reply to John316, there never was a 3/4 million dollar loan anywhere other than in Sam's mind. And no work has been done to the building other than minimal maintenance until I get all of the necessary paperwork and legalities handled. Then I will move forward with the building.

Hello Mr. Dausch,
After reading all the posts in this thread, one question arrose to me that you might want to address.
Instead of trying to defend Mr. Walker and somehow lead us on that you personally paid restitution to the victums..
Why don't you lay fourth to all of us, your intentions/busisness plans, and the like, of just how you will run Walker Coach
differently then Sam did? Maybe put your neck out and prove us wrong with completed coaches, happy customers, and
pictures of completed units that are not years and years old.
I think if you took this route, you would mend alot of doubted members in this community.
Good Luck to You
Nick-
Talk about an April Fool's joke (Wednesday is April 1)! But since the court docket shows a parole hearing on that day, I'll believe it. He's still got a couple years of probation to serve.
