Title: Bus ramps!
Post by: steve5B on January 10, 2009, 07:22:19 AM

I thought I would let everyone know a friend of mine owns a local saw mill and I mentioned to him what it would cost to cut

some large ramps for my bus.  I had read some where on the board awhile back that someone mentioned it was expensive.

Around $50.00 a set he said.   I apologize if I'm not suppose to post this here.

No need to apologize, good post.  I think "large" could be a little better defined.  Jim

I have learned somewhere that the ramps should be wide enough to accommodate both rear wheels.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the size, it was indeed the width of the rear wheels. So you could have the SAFTY for the front.

I bought two railroad ties and cut them in half and beveled the ends

I put one under each of the drives and can just drive up on them and I usually carry them with me buried in a bay

HTH YMMV
