I tried several google approaches and every link that was supposed to go to their site goes somewhere else. Are they still in business? Mostly a curiosity question, but needed to get some reference information.
If someone has a link that works, will you post it please?

Thanks for the links guys.
I have changed the title to reflect what I was looking for. Rich used to put on a great polishing seminar, and I bought some of their bars and wheels. I was hoping to find out what each bar is for. I have lost my notes, but I marked the box with notes that suggest the black is for cutting, the white for polishing aluminum and the green for stainless. I note that they now carry other polishing bars, but these are the ones I bought.
I found an old IBP catalog and it does not have the product. Their website does not have a description of the bars, nor does it have any information on polishing.
Anybody know the "decoding" of the colors and/or have a copy of Rich's note's?
Thanks
Jim
Hi Jim,
This might help you a bit.
Good Luck

Nick and Ed, I appreciate your help. The second reference that Ed provided (netsolstores) seems to be what I was looking for.
What poking around I have been able to do, got me pretty confused about color of stick vs the coarseness. I am still not convinced that all suppliers agree on the relationship and use.
My problem was that I got the sticks from IBP and then ended up with some equipment (flex shaft, adapters, cone wheels, etc) from: http://www.buschshineproducts.com/. They were fellow vendors at a rally we were at, and the rep. was very knowledgeable. I lost my notes from when I talked to him a few months ago and just had them fax me some information on polishing aluminum wheels. At first glance it did not appear that their "colors" agreed with IBP "colors". The table from the netsolstores seems to agree with IBP and Busch.
BTW, the Busch site seems to have quite a bit of good information on polishing various metals.
Thanks for the help.

Paul, you posted while I was typing my reply. Your site pretty much agrees with the ones cited above. However, for the white, they don't mention aluminum, while others suggest that is what you should use.
We are probably splitting hairs here.
My problem is that I am dealing with some used wheels that were in bad shape. I made them worse with too course of abrasive wheel where I should have used progressively finer sandpaper. I had some professional folks work on them, and they got them pretty good. However, I want to do some more work. I think I am done with the sandpaper process and will go with the black cutting and the yellow (aggressive buffing pad). Some say to go with the brown for rough cutting, but I don't have that. After I do some work with the black, I will go with the white and work the heck out of that.
Having said all of that, some of the best results so far have been with good old machine rubbing compound.
Again, thanks for all the help guys.
