Title: a great day to be a busnut
Post by: cody on December 16, 2008, 08:46:55 AM
Just letting you know that those of us in the northern part of the world are thinking about our friends in the southern part lol.  It's a beautiful day, the sky is a nice shade of a deep blue and the sun is shining, course it's -14F right now but it's not snowing.  I went outside and plugged in the engine heater on the bus and left it on for an hour and then cranked the beast over, it fired and purred on the first turn, I let it run for a couple of minutes and kicked it onto high idle and let it warm up, and air up, all perfectly fine, it's a great day.

Cody,

Glad to hear that your weather is nice. I just hope ours clears... Glad to hear that your bus started right off, and aired up.

Have a good one.

God bless,

John

Thank you for that report of engine heater and fire up at Cooold Michigan lovable snowy climate at -14°F.  It always good to know more about how cold it can be and still starts.

Brrrrr...I moved from the lower half of Michigan since 1999 December.

Keep posting!

Take care, Gerald

BTW...did you use ether?

Nope, no ether, just used the block heater for an hour or so and it kicked right over.

well Cody, it is grey and overcast and foggy here in north Georgia. of course it is 55 degrees here. not sure I would trade the grey for -14 or not. try and stay thawed.
