i dont know too much about these....i need your advice. how many miles they last for, maintenance, known issues, etc
thank you!
What does your friend want to do with it? I wouldn't consider it a good candidate for conversion, expecially with all of the intercity coaches on the market today.
Do be aware that these types of coaches aren't much different than a regular class A motorhome. A box mounted on top of a frame.
As far as the engine, the Cummins ISB at 200,000 miles is getting close to needing an overhaul. The Allison 2400 is a good transmission, a baby brother to the B500, but it too won't last much more before overhaul is needed. So to overhaul the engine and transmission, you're looking at close to $15,000. Something to consider. Good Luck, TomC
Being built on a truck chassis it will ride like a trk. It won't have the smooth "coach ride" like your 9 does!
Also it will require more maintenance more frequently as it is not built on a "30 yr design" like your 9!
JMHO FWIW ;D BK ;D
