Does any one have the dimensions for the transmission lifting tool or have one and is willing to sell it?

KISS principle here - use a "cherry picker" like you'd use to pull a 454 Chevy out of a Silverado pickup.
I've also heard of a fellow who used a simple pallet jack and 4x6 blocks of wood!
Scratch that, I was thinking 4104. . . just use an HD cherry picker.
FWIW & HTH. . .

Thanks
The hoist/lift tool is for the cherry picker...Helps keep it straight so it's easier to get out of/back into clutch...was hoping someone might just have one as seen in the book...Used the chain and cherry picker to get the tranny back in but without the tool definitely a little scary when shoving it around to get everything aligned...
When we were lining up the spicer to put back on my 871 after replacing the clutch, we just used two chains on the input shaft side of the tranny and one chain on the output (lighter) end. Attached the rear chain to the front chains with a 6 inch bolt and tightened the nut/bolt combination until it lined up. It takes two guys pushing on the cherry picker and one guiding it into the clutch. Adjusting the bolt takes care of tilting the transmission so that the input shaft slides into the clutch.
We put it together in about 45 mintues.

P.S. having some beer on hand might help.
I've used an engine hoist to remove the Spicer 4 speed. Just wrapped a couple of chains around the transmission and it came out easy.
Then I used the same cherry picker to lift and install the V730 Allison. Like others have said, use the chains, position them so the transmission is "balanced" the way you want it to position for installation. I had the Allison V730 installed in my 4905 in about an hour.
Makes it lots easier if you remove the bumper and side door.
